Guess I haven’t been cleaver enough in searching the web to find this info. Would appreciate any knowledge on PE pole colors, as I’m attempting to stage a short stretch of catenary with a PE baggage trolley. Most pictures I’ve seen show telephone poles, but wondering about the color scheme (if any) used on poles dedicated to PE wires only. I’ve got 5 brass Suydam poles. Presuming they were wooden poles, which PE certainly had in quantity, the “color” would have been creosote, about the same as your average common wooden electric utility pole, not counting any of the newer greenish poles. Those aren’t treated with creosote.
