Hey guys,
Check out page 56 of the March issue of Trains…if #346, a 2-8-0 Rio Grande locomotive looks familiar, it should…that’s Chris Mays avatar, and that’s his photo/work too boot.
Way to go Chris…

Way to go Chris…
Darn, Ed, you caught me napping here. I’ve known about this for a day now thanks to fuzzybroken’s forum, and it didn’t occur to me to start a thread about it here.[banghead]
Congrats again Chris, keep those pictures coming.
Saw it last night…was going to post it then, got sidetracked:)
Got a email from a friend about it this morning, checked, didn’t see anything on the forum yet, so decided to give it a whirl…
About time some of Chris’s work gets published, he has a real talent, just needs the right outlet and a little encouragement.
I wonder, do they still publish the Photographers Bible?
Dang, you guys have the March issue already?
Probably April already…inside track into things…lol.
Thanks Ed and Brian! [:I] It’s certainly very cool to see one’s work in a magazine like Trains.

Looking forward to seeing it; my issue will come tomorrow, I hope (MR and Classic Trains both arrived today).
Thanks, MC!
Just showed up in San Diego today. That was about the fourth page I looked at and wow, deja vu all over again.
Glad that more folks than just the forums could share that image.
Congratulations, Chris and more so to Trains for picking up on the Colorado talent.
When I saw it I thot to myself,Self? I have seen this pic somewhere before!
Good job Chris !
Chuck and Danny, thanks for the kind words!
WOW! I hadn’t gotten that far into the magazine yet, but I guess this warrants skipping ahead a bit… [:P] Great work Chris, you definitely deserve it. Way to go!
My magazine finally arrived yesterday, and I went straight to page 56. Familiar-looking freight cars! Great shot, Chris–excellent work! Oh, and nice-looking locomotive in the foreground.
RJ & Carl,
Thanks for the nice compliments! Carl, isn’t just like me to wreck a perfectly good shot of rolling stock by putting a steam locomotive in the foreground? Perhaps this one will make up for it a little bit [;)]:
Do we have to start relocating tracks so Mr. Sun does a better job of lighting up da cars?
Outstanding shot!
