Paint for Union Pacific Harbor Mist Gray

Now that Floquil paint is no longer made. What repacement paint

can I use for Union Pacific Harbor Mist Gray? I need to match the

color for a Proto 2000 Union Pacific E-8.

LION never understand this fettish for exact colors. Railroads do not use exact colors. One batch differs from the next, fading begins as soon as the car is rolled out of the shop. Different paints fade at different rates.

As far as the LION is concerned : good enough is good enough… purrfect is a pain in the tail.

Agreed for the most part. There is no garrantee scalecoat will match his model exactly-but it will be “close enough”.

The grey is spot-on for the UP Proto 2000 E8/9. Scalecoat’s UP yellow is spot-on for all my other models except that Proto 2000. I don’t know what LL used, but it’s way too bright.
