Has anyone found a good match for the yellow paint used commonly on construction equipment? I’ve checked the Testor’s site and its hard to tell by their color charts. Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.

Pretty much any bright or sunny yellow will do, as there is no “standard” construction yellow that I know of. You could try Polyscale’s Railbox Yellow, maybe add a little white to lighten it a bit. CSX Yellow is another.
Caterpillar yellow.
Any hobby shop that sells a lot of model kits can order you Caterpilar yellow in a jar or spray can. It’s in the Nascar paint section in most reference books. I build the winner of the Daytona 500 every year and did a Ward Burton Cat sponsored car a few years ago and had no problem getting Cat yellow.
Thanks so much for the feedback. I’ve looked all over for Cat Yellow and have only seen it offered for the “real” tractors. I should have thought about Ward and his car and checking out the model cars section of my LHS. Thanks again.
This is, believe it or not, School Bus Yellow. It’s a cheap craft paint from Michaels. I think it was Ceramcoat, but I’m not sure. I applied a couple of coats with a brush and then finished it with a clear satin spray.
Perfect! I like Michael’s for paint a lot. That’s a lot of help.
