Paint Scheme late 50s or early 60s BAR Railroad

Would anyone know what paint scheme was used on GP7 in this era for the BAR Railroad. Can not tell from pictures i have looked at. The paint is so faded in the pictures. Would really apreciate any and all information. THANK-YOU santaferailroad

BAR GP7’s had a blue/grey paint scheme when delivered. They later went to a solid dark blue with silver trucks scheme by the time the GP38’s were delivered.

Jim, yes they were in a blue grey paint paint and a solid blue but they also had a red black and grey scheme Tim

Santa FE yes any of those schemes would go good on the engine. personely i like the red one best but just a opinion. by the way why are you running BAR if you model Santa FE??

Well trainfreek my wife and i took a trip out east in fall of 2002. As we were traveling thourgh Maine we went through Bangor and saw some State of Maine cars sitting on some sidings and she thought they were so cool she asked me if I would model a BAR train on my layout. So I bought some cars and had a hard time finding a iocomotive in the BAR scheme. So I bought an undecorated GP7. Hope that answers your question. santaferailroad SANTAFE ALL THE WAY
