Painting B&O Cab Units

Dear Forum,

I will soon be painting some N-scale FA-1’s in the B&O Royal Blue-Gray-Black scheme, and would like your opinions for the best gray to use. I will be using acrylics. Thanks in advance for your help.

I like Polly-Scale E/L Gray for B&O Gray.

Thank you for the reply; I will give the EL Gray a try. I was somewhat amused by the answer my father-in-law (a long-time B&O car foreman) gave when I asked him this question. He said it didn’t matter, as no two looked the same for very long. That certainly seemed true for the blue. I have a few pictures of the scheme I want to paint, but in most if not all cases I do not have the data to determine if the locomotives were photographed in Indiana.
