For a while I’ve been tempted to drive into the main entrance and check it out, but I’m not sure if I can legally do that. Where would be the best to go for videos inside the yard? I want to get all the action…the Mi-Jack cranes, unloading auto-racks, kickin’ cars, etc.

Not a good idea at all ! Pan Am (formerly Guilford) is famously paranoid about anyone unauthorized being on the property, and NS only slightly less so. Best move is to call or visit the yard office and see if you can get permission (not too likely, but you never know . . . ). Maybe there’s a Chamber of Commerce or similar tour scheduled in the near future ?
Otherwise, find some legitimate public access or viewing points such as a nearby street (Rt. 67 on the northern side), the rail-trail to the west past Coons, or the golf course on the south side, and video from there (Lat./ Long. coords, per ACME Mapper 2.0: N 42.91551 W 73.71225 ). Or become friends with one of the workers, or the owners of one of the adjoining houses oerlooking the yard, or buy one . . .
