Could TRAINS revive a cover from years ago, that featured the last round up of covered wagons? AND, what about publishing the cover in a large poster format? Just thinking…

Great

I would purchase a poster with all of the covered wagons attending.

WOW!! I rode PAR 1 and 2 when the “sisters” were at the Conway Scenic Railway ( old MEC and B&M track) . They are very pretty now and they show in the area occasionally. I hope to get to this, BUT if I cant I would “hope” TRAINS sells a video, or magazine on this show…Thanks for the update!

I Can’t wait, I am ordering tickets this weekend. If this is half as good as the Heritage Units Day this is going to be great. I hope the NCTM can get to twenty or more locomotives, too many trains is never a bad thing.

Most of the restoration work on the Wabash 1009 was done at Norfolk Southern’s Roanoke East End Locomotive Shop. The painting was done at Chattanooga. The locomotive belongs to the Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke. It will be great to see it in Spencer after the extensive rebuilding.

Actually, Trains did publish that cover as a poster. If I recall-aging brain cells-that issue was June 1978. I bet you could find the poster on eBay.
