Paperbrick is down?

The paperbrick web site is up and running, but will not generate a valid PDF.

For those who don’t know, this site creates hi-rez brick pattern images that can be printed on a high quality ink jet printer. It’s the best method I’ve found for surfacing scratch-built brick buildings. It uses photos of actual, individual bricks, from 8 to 50 depending upon the desired color and style, and arrays them randomly in offset courses in whatever scale you choose. So unlike commerical brick papers, there is no repeating pattern in your brick wall. You can choose the size, brick color, mortar color, and lay pattern. (I’d post a photo of a building I recently built, the Great Northern Hillyard shops, but that requires a Flickr or similar account, which I don’t have).

I’d saved the PDF for that building from a visit to the site a few months ago. But now I need a different type of brick for another building, and now the site is not generating valid PDFs — IE says the PDF is empty. Anyone know the story, or know of another site that works similarly?[Website link removed by moderator]

I just tried it too, got the error message. Oh well, one of those web site/internet things.

Send them a message. Maybe they are working on it.

As far as another site? I don’t know of any, because I’ve never needed any paper brick sheets. There are tons of them out there, search around.

That’s an interesting site, but FireFox on my Mac gives me the same message.

I used Chrome, Microsoft, and got the same reults.

Did that. Got bounce message “mailbox full.”

All that I’ve found use a small section of a brick wall and repeat it dozens of times on the sheet. Not realistic. If you know of a vendor whose sheets don’t use a repeating pattern, let me know!

No, I don’t, as I don’t need anything like that. The brick panels I used are plastic sheets from Walthers, so just keep searching around, you’ll find something.
