Parkway HO ready to run train set from 1970's

Hi, it’s me magnum again, with another good question about a vintage set, a Parkway HO train set that I got from my Grandad in the 70’s. I still have everything for the set, except the transformer that quit years ago.

My question is this: This set has (had in my case), a Planters Peanut box car that went with this set. I still have it, except while in storage, the decals on the sides of that car deteriorated into dust particles. Can these decals be replaced?? If not can someone send me a high res pic of one, from the same time, around the 70’s. All that has remained of my decals were just little particles in the plastic bag, that fell out all over my work bench when I opened it up. It was not stored in an enviromentally controlled building, but just the old 12X24 storage building out back. I guess the heat abd humidity really got to it in a bad way. None of my other box cars did this, but they are all painted on graphics it looks like. So I don’t know how to ever get it back, but if someone can help me figure it out, Short of hand painting them back on there, from a good “high res pic” to look at, then please, I am open for suggestions… Dave.

Magnum…you’re in the wrong forum.

sorry about that, I don’t know how to move it there, and can’t figure out how to delete it from the one it’s in. I can select and delete the text inside with an edit, but will that make the listing go away like it needs to, or can I do it some other way?

I don’t know if you can move your own thread to a more appropriate forum or not, but a moderator can do it.
