Parts for a Mantua 2-8-2 Mikado Santa Fe - early 70's

Hi,

I have a Mantua 2-8-2 Mikado Santa Fe manufactured in the early 1970’s. I am in need of some parts, namely the cow catcher and the head lamp. Also I believe the front two wheels. Does anyone know if and where I could obtain parts for this loco?

Ebay is usually full of Mantua parts from several good dealers.

If parts are not currently on Ebay, and you want to deal with a real brick and mortar train store, there is a possibility that English’s Model RR Supply in Montoursville, PA (telephone 570-368-2516, ask for Vern, the repair guru, or Rich Cox, the store manager) could still have some Mantua parts. The good inventory of parts has been whittled down in recent years, but they might possibly be able to help you.

Also, the Mikado was a very common locomotive–you do not necessarily need parts for the “Santa Fe” version specifically, as they were virtually all the same–though you may want them to be black…
