Cat, you don’t mention what parts you need. This guy is real good: I recommend Jeff as do many others.

Also I’ve done business with Brasseur, a family run business that hasn’t forgotten what service means. I recommend them too.

See if these folks can help you out.
Boy, this is a handy thread. I need to rewire the magnet on my 165 & I can’t find wire anywhere near as thin/flexible as the original. Hope one of these places can help me out.
Jeff Kane is awesum as was mentioned. If no luck there, try Chuck at Mizells trains in Westminster Colorado. 303-429-4811 They keep a lot of Postwar train parts.
You can aslo call Rich Denes at 732-826-4852. He is an extremely knowledgeable guy.

Bindernut,
Radio Shack has a three roll pack for winding motors or electromagnets.I am not familiar with what you want to do but 30 gage wire sounds right. It’s what on an uncoupling track in O27 gage.If you want a different color than red try a craft store, the bead section sells the enamel coated wire.I shop with the wife.LOL
I can back up Jeff Kane’s Train Tender recommendation. Helped me with my 182 crane, and a few other projects! He’s usually there, if not he’ll call you back.
Kurt
I’ll second that recommendation!! If I can bust it they can fix it.
