Passenger Car Siding

What would be the best material to match the corregated sides on Budd passenger cars?

Siding from another car. Buy another car and sacrifice the shell to use as filler material.

You might find something here.

I will echo what Loather suggested. I have constructed a few USP cars, and the fluting is about the best you are going to get if you are scratch building (yes, the fluting is available seperately). Just be careful t to use too much glue because you can distort the fluting (it is very thin).

Thanks for the info. I had thought about cutting up another car, but, I really didn’t want to unless as a last resort…

If you have to buy another car to matcj the corregations/fluting, you might as well keep it and scrap the first one.

Not all passenger car fluting is the same…

Its mostly for an F7B that has been converted th an APU. So, I’m going for the “look” of matching fluting, it doesn’t have to be an exact match.
