I have some Athearn # 7924 ROck Island cars that i would like to add interiors to. How do I get the cars apart? Can I use regualr ACC to put the interiors in?

Are these cars streamlined, or heavyweights? Both types have the walls and roof molded as one piece, with a separate floor unit. The roof/wall part just lifts off. Sometimes it sticks though–grasp the “box” molded into the floor with one hand, and pull the roof unit off.
The heavyweight cars are cast similarly. However, the roof/wall unit is held on by tabs. Insert a screwdriver behind the tabs, and gently pry outwards. The roof/wall unit should then slide off. Be careful not to pry too hard–you can crack the wall!

The 7924s are streamliners. What kind of interior kit are you using? Hopefully you were able to get your hands on some Palace Car Company kits.
IHC makes interiors that fit their cars and the Rivarossi cars. They’re pretty crude though…and come in nasty colors!
As a matter of fact, anybody looking for passenger car interiors should check these guys out…
