Hi All
Was looking at my track plan and I realized that 2 in centers in the passenger terminal probably are not quite wide enough.
Anybody have this info?
Thanks!

Which passenger terminal?
A lot of the terminals have platforms that are set at pretermined widths which will dictate the distance between the tracks.

last freelanced passenger terminal i built in HO had the tracks in pairs on 2 inch centers and a platform between them, every other track. the platform was just where a track was left out so those tracks were on 4 inch centers. looked a little wide to me when it was done but not all that bad. most big city stations had the tracks in pairs.
if you are modeling a specific prototype location, you just need to follow that. i have seen a lot of different ones in my day. greatest PIA would be a curved platform like the NYC at Albany. a buddy tried that and came close to suicide before it was done.

Typical island platform is min. 10’ wide , So that would make your track centers about 20’. The best condition for platform room is a 16’ wide platform with 26’ track centers (for larger city type stations) . 16’ would leave space from the canopy supports. The Edge of the Platform is 5’-1" from the center of Track
