Paul Harvey Talks Trains

This morning on Paul Harvey and the rest of the story, he reported that last week the railroads moved more freight in one week than they ever had in their entire existance. Harvey also reported that the freight moved totaled over 133 billion tons! He mentioned that the Kansas City Southern had over158% volume increase. He said that the railroads are buying more locomotives (no…really!!!), hiring more crews and employees, and scheduleing more trains (and parking more if you’re Union Pacific [:D]). I thought it was an interesting little tidbit on the way to school, speaking of which, I gotta go to class, talk to you guys (and gals) later![:)][:D][8D][:p][;)]

Paul said that there were record corn shipments this year. Paul is probaly a shareholder in UP. and True Value hardware

and bose music systems and other stuff too…good day!

I guess I missed that one, not allowed to listen to Paul Harvey in the shop, the professor doesn’t like him and won’t listen to him so I have to suffer. Oh well, I will catch the next one!

Oh and Oreck vacs…The Nice thing about Paul Harvey is that he a conservitive without being a jerk like some other radio personalitys

Buying more locomotives? What kind now? More rebuilds or new ones? Plus hiring crews, hmm, might just have to check that one out too. I’m will to go just about anywhere for a railroad job just to get my foot in the door.

How can you guys forget the sleep number bed! Angel and I love our sleep number bed.And now you know…the rest of the story. Sorry I missed this one I like the one he had about firefighters after 9/11.Paul has been a part of my day since I was in grade school!

If I ever have a day off from school, like Today, I listen to Paul Harvey. I missed the one about trains. I do agree that if you listen to Paul Harvey, you are bound to her about the sleep number beds, Citrical, and Bose music systems.[:D]

I’m glad Mr. Harvey pays attention to what’s happening, in my United States of America, and it’s been a long time, since I’ve heard someone accuse him of being a hater.

NARP would probably do well to pay Paul to speak to their annual to do if they have one. He came to Waycross in 1975, toured the Okefenokee Swamp Park then spoke that night at the Chamber of Commerce dinner. He was paid $5,000 and Waycross leaders determined that it was money well spent. The next day when he told about the swamp park on his noon show, a retired couple driving west in Mississippi turned around in the middle of the road and drove to Waycross to see the swamp. If NARP could get Paul on its side, a lot of people would hear a message they need to hear.
