PCC Philadelphia streetcar service returns to Girard Avenue June 16th

Visit the SEPTA website for photos and more information.

The rfestoration includes the 1940’s paint sheme.

I’ve seen photos of the restorations and I have to say that’s a VERY classy old paint scheme! Hopefully there’ll be a model of it in the future.

Not quite the same thing but I’ve been lucky enough to latch on to the following MTH models, both Public Service and N J Transit.

Here’s some video of those resurrected Philly PCC’s.

Isn’t it wonderful that SEPTA’s people loved those cars too much to let them die?

Hey, guess what? When I was at the York train show in October I turned a corner, looked up, and found THIS on an exhibitor’s shelf:

Yep, one of the aformentioned SEPTA PCC’s by MTH (2002) and in the original Philadelphia Transportation Company livery! Needless to say it came home with me!
OH so cool!
