Looks like BLI/PCM is finally shipping as scheduled:
First the Switchers, then the RSD-15s and just released are the BLI AC6000CWs - also I have noticed they have updated the release schedule again and now the PCM HO Scale Alco PAs are showing “in transit”!!
I can’t wait for my SP Daylight and the Santa Fe ones to arrive; I have ordered me the ones with Loksound and hope they sound as good as the FAs did.
Now I only need the Daylight cars and hope they also keep the December schedule…
An asterisk to “in transit”, approximately 4,500 containers are lost at sea each year. Some of them become threats to navigation in that they float semi submerged. Recently some lost containers washed up on a UK beach and an enterprising “beachcomber” opened one and it contained BMW motorcycles. It didn’t take long for that word to get out and the “beachcomber” was joined by many other salvage oriented individuals.
As to threats to navigation, an article in one of the boating magazines cited a case of a family sailing from the U.S. east coast to Bermuda in their new 44 footer and slammed into one of these semi submerged containers resulting in loss of their new boat. Fortunately they got a message out as to their position and situation and spent a fairly short time in their lifeboat before being rescued. Article was complete with photo of their boat as it went under.
Obviously 4,500 containers is a very small percentage of all containers shipped each year so probabilities of loss of a specific interest container(PCM PA-1’s) is quite low.

I’m on BLI’s e-mail list and got the announcement yesterday. Below the PA’s photo it mentioned the RSD’s were coming soon. Guess they can’t tell them apart!
I saw that yesterday as well. I ordered them last September. I ordered a PA/PB/PA Espee set. I have not had a chance to “play” with LokSound yet, and have heard a lot of great things about it, so I am excited about that.
I went to the LTS yesterday, and he had an undec PA someone had ordered. I was able to take a look at that one, and what a beauty!! I am literally chomping at the bit to get my Daylight ABA sets in. This should be plenty of motivation to get my Sunset Limited started.
I didn’t get to see it run, but from what I heard about the FAs, they should be great runners. I did listen to the sound sample that they have on the site for the PAs, and it sounds really nice.
