I just got mine for a curved turnout… I know I need to just drill a hole but what do I secure it with after it is in place?? Electric tape or??? LMK Joseph

Hello if you are talking about the switch motor, it has 4 small tabs that go into the underneath of the turnout, you have to get the rod up through the hole then the tabs, it is easier to put this on when the turnout is not in place.
Sorry I guess I should have added after it is in place I dont want it to just hang onto the track what can I use to support it to the bench… Joseph
Did the motor come with a small piece of metal tubing and a rod in a little plastic bag as extra parts? If so, these are used to extend the actuating rod so the motor can be fitted under the board with a slot cut for the rod. Peco offer a moulded plastic base to fit them or you can just bend the tabs mentioned by pacificnorthern outwards and use a couple of self tapping screws and washers - this is according to the instructions they come with. Bear in mind you will also need to bend the centre tabs to fit it this way, so be careful nothing shorts. Hope this is of help!
