Peco Switch machines

I am installing a couple of Peco switch machines and am trying to eliminate soldering to the connections on the machine. Anyone know what size female connectors are needed? Thanks.

In the long run, soldering will be the best approach. I solder right-sized wires to them on the bench before I attach them to the turnout. The terminals on the PECO’s are awfully small, and you just aren’t going to get a good mechanical connection.

I’ve found that PECO’s need more of a kick than Atlas twin-coils, by the way. Once I installed a capacitive discharge circuit for my switch machines, they all work much better.

Peco switchs One of the best smoothes switch I have ever used.

To answer the question: 0.110 inch

I agree with Misterbeasley in the long run, but it’s sure handy to be able to switch 'em around when you’re debugging signals - Once you’ve got 'em correct, go ahead and solder the whole thing.

You’ve also got to be careful when sliding them on and off or the little tags will break (How do I know this?.. It is an easy fix though!)

Cheers,
Ian

Thanks for the info & tips

Glad to see I am not the only one who found how break off the tags.
