Peco

Hey Everyone:
Two questions…
1 - My love and addiction to Peco turnouts is going to put me in the poor house  Granted their quality is so high that I probably will never have to replace them on my layout but what is it that makes them so expensive? Is it becuase they are imported?

2 - Does anyone have any good resources or links with more detailed instruction on how to wire a peco switch machine, and how to wire it to a toggle that is mounted on a switch control panel?

Thanks - hope you all are well. I am mowing my lawn for the last time this weekend which officially begins my train season! Can’t wait.

Just a wee pic I whipped up. Pretty simple but works great.

The cap unit is a must to save burnt out coils.

Ken.

We import them from Europe I think. The Dollar is not so good against the Euro.

They are made in the England a non Euro zone country. However, the $ is not very good against the GB Pound. The code 100 Peco’s (I use these) are not too bad price, but the new code 83 are more. From what I can tell they are in big demand so there is not much pressure on any retailer to discount them.

Peco is a family-run business in England with limited production capabilities, so their products are always in high demand.

The best consistently low prices I have found on Peco products in the U.S. is http://www.cchobbies.com

Thanks everyone!
