Pedro, more on the way..

For export to Brazil…headed to Texas Terminals to be loaded into the ship later today.

The north locomotive, # 5479, is unique, in that it is a high nosed SD40-2, and set up to run long hood forward.

The rest are SD40-2s, and SD40-2Ts.

Reporting mark is NREX,

Numbers are…

5479

8387 (SD40-2T)

5703

5848

5637

5600

8251 (SD40-2T)

The all appear to be former CP Rail units, except the tunnel motors, which are ex SP somewhere along the line.

The south three units in the photo are keepers…(sorry Pedro, you don’t get the Dash 9, not yet anyway)

Waiting on about 15 more units to arrive from NREX.

Thanks for shareing Ed.

BTW- Didn’t you say you were e-mailing me something a couple weeks ago? If you did I didn’t get it, could be my end though as we are useing a new e-mail filter.

I might have an old email address for you…

Send me an email at

with your new address…

OMG, is that BLUE SKY behind those engines? In Houston?[:D]

Will do.

Brian…

The side on shot was at 6:30 am…the others around 10 am…its 97 degrees right now, not a cloud to be seen, with a sea breeze blowing in off the Gulf…which will trigger the normal afternoon thunderstorm around 3: pm…

Last count I heard was 48 days straight of it raining somewhere in Houston every day.

We skipped yesterday for some odd reason!

Is this the Texas Eagle?
