Congratulations, Pelle.

What a great move. Pelle is a true craftsman and a great teacher.

Pelle gave me the insperation to model the desert on my Santa Fe layout. He has raised the bar so to speak in weathering and detailing methods. Great work for someone
who lives on the other side of the pond. Congratulations also.

Congratulations Pelle and thank you MR! I really love and am inspired by Pelle’s work and devour his books and articles. I look forward to seeing more of his modeling and can’t wait to see the visit to his completed layout. The pinnacle would be a video tour of his layout in operation. Thanks again!

The first time I saw a photo of Daneville, I said “That’s Mojave Califonia”. Been through there many times going between Las Vegas and Burbank. He knows how to capture the essence of a location. Look forward to many great ideas and techniques.

That is fantastic news! Pelle’s work is absolutely amazining. He has fueled my love of model railroading. Congrats Pelle!

The first time I saw his layout I thought it was a picture of a real
scene in Arizona.

Great news! I think that his article on Sergeant couplers will open a lot of eyes in the community of operation based model railroaders!

I live in Las Vegas so I know this scenery very well. Pelle does great work and I am sure his work will continue to make Model Railroader a great magazine. Only it is too bad the trip to visit his layout is such a long way. I hope to see him and the layout on MR videos.

Tillykke Pelle!
Det har du fortjent og det er vi glade for.

Congrats Pelle !! I enjoy all of your articles and have pretty much purchased any book or article that you have published for Model Railroader. You are a great asset to the hobby and am looking forward to hearing and seeing a lot more of your tips and tricks in the future. Way to go Pelle !!

Pelle’s work is very good, but I hope to see more variety in MR. Focusing too much on the work of one author leads to a lack of variety of topics…

Indeed, congratulations are in order! Pelle, you have not only given many modelers new methods and ideas to help them improve their modeling skills but prove that the spirit of the late great John Allen is alive and well.

John’s legendary Gorre & Daphetid was more than just another model railroad. It served as a proving ground for fine scale modeling and taking same to new levels unheard of in its day.

How about a compact Union Pacific layout between Cheyenne and Laramie over Sherman Hill so Big Boy #4014 can make the run in HO scale before its 1:1 scale counterpart does?

Yes, congratulations. His work is some of the best I have ever seen.

Good job. Soeborg has a fantastic modelers touch, his work I wish to emulate. The first time I saw a photograph of his work, I was fooled into believing it was the real thing. Looking forward to seeing more of his ideas put forth.

Yes David H from Georgia. Many may be true craftsman, but great teachers? Pelle, you sir are John Allen, John Armstrong, and Linn Wescott rolled in one! We all look forward to what you have next to show us. Keep speaking, we are listening!

Great model railroader. His buildings are beautiful ; he needs to do an article on how he models them.

I had the pleasure of meeting Pelle this past spring, in Albuquerque NM. The occasion was the NMRA Rocky Mountain Region Convention. Unfortunately, I was a layout exhibitor and missed his presentations and had little time to talk with him. It is a certainty that he has been and will continue to be an asset to MR. HIs work is really quite well done, and his articles well written.

I LIKED HIS BOOKS AND ARTICLES IN MR.
