Pennsylvania updates 12-year transportation plan

how about more than one train a day for Pittsburgh??

Pittsburgh has two trains, not one: the Pgh-NYC Pennsylvanian and the Chicago-Cleveland-Pgh-Washington, DC Capitol Limited. But, yes, how about added services such as an additional Pgh-Harrisburg train that connects with Keystone Corridor runs to Philadelphia and NYC?

How about the freight railroads? Pennsylvania has been good at giving grants to all railroads so they can stay competitive with both truckers and out-of-state railroads.

With the new Viewliners on the way, an overnight train would be nice between New York and Pittsburgh. The way to get any more trains between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh would be through extensions of existing Keystone trains.

Why not add service from the Lehigh Valley to NY as well as a LV to Philly line?

A “Queen of the Valley” type service from Harrisburg to New York via Reading, Allentown and central Jersey would be a real plus.
