The Pensacola Model Railroad Club will sponsor a model train show at the Hadji Shrine Temple, 800 West Nine Mile Road (Hwy 90), on June 9 and 10. Hours are 9 - 5 on Saturday and 10 - 4 on Sunday. Admission is $5.00 – accompanying children 12 and under are free.
The show will have operating model train layouts – G, O, S, HO, N and Z scales – and model train dealers including S&W Parts Supply of Metairie, LA, with “beaucoup tables.” Both South West Alabama Railroad Modelers (SWARM) and Bay Area Rail Roaders (BARR) will have their O-gauge layouts at the show.
The Hadji Shrine Temple is on the north side of Hwy 90 about two miles east of the first I-10 exit after crossing the Alabama-Florida state line (exit 3). It sits back off the road but is easy to spot with its large front yard.
