I could get more interested in the #1225 if an excursion, or two, could be operated over to Grand Rapids, or Holland, Michigan, on CSX. That is my Christmas wish, if there really
is a Saint Nick.

It’s been a long wait. I’m looking forward to the North Pole Express trip in December. Welcome back 1225 and a big THANK YOU to all of those who put the significant effort in getting it running again.

David, there is a Santa Claus and he’s just sent us a great present, the return of our MSU Spartan champion 1225 back in steam. I’d not await for CSX to come through for excursions. The coal in our stockings from 1225 will be fine.

I rode a 1200 between Elmdale and Grand Rapids in 1947 while the relief telegraph/train order operator between Elmdale and “GR” office in Grand Rapids. Had been riding the Saginaw Branch Mikes. The 1200 rode like a Pullman.
