Perfect example of what not to do.....

…with brass car sides.

Those sides are for an ACF cars, and this guy plastered them on to a Walther’s P/S built 4-4-2 Hotevilla carbody. He didn’t even bother to curve the end skirting or add grabs. The underbody, end and roof details are completely wrong. He has had a couple of Santa Fe passenger cars on eBay, and all of them are WRONG. And all for a low, low price. They may be worth it if done properly with core kits and the appropriate details.

Low price starting at $134? All that and it does’t look like it has an Interior.

Wow! Gonna watch and see if anyone buys that one. WOW!

I was being facetious about the “low price”. I don’t believe he has ever sold any of them. You can get one in brass (Soho) cheaper.

Even better…

He must be DARN PROUD of that weathering job!

Yeah, about that boxcar… he does know that you’re not supposed to see the origional color on a weathered ATSF box, right? Guess someone should enlighten him…

Thanks. I needed a good laugh right now!

Me too.

$99!? That’s for a six pack, right?

Not much of a weathing job there either…
