Used to watch GG1s stop there while heading their PRR/CRRNJ commuter trains
to the nearby South Amboy changeover to K4 power to finish Jersey coast runs to Bay Head, now NJT-owned and operated.
These days, Jersey Central coach 1158 and a sister combine now run on tourist line Santa Fe Southern.

Good luck to the city in looking for funding from the state. As New Jersey is turning into a southern (read Tea Party) state under our bombastic governor, funding for anything transit related is becoming scarce as hen’s teeth. Get into your cars people (and don’t fall into a giant pot hole/bomb crater).
