Pesky O gauge freight car tabs

All this series of HOW TO articles are very useful. Thank you.

The tabs do not go under the protrusions very far. I have used a small punch placed in the hole and a sharp tap toward the end of the car will free the tab. It’s the only way to work on or replace the trucks.

Looks like I just learned something else I didn’t know! Thanks for all your great articles.

Thanks Robert , I am not a computer person nor a typist , But always room to learn. “AGAIN”

Always read an love your “How To Articles” , But I would Love Them better If They Were “All” Cataloged So Someone Could Punch In To A Computor A Problem An Get A Fast Answer From Your Arcives.“You Guys Are The Best”.

Richard, the site has a searchable index that you can filter by magazine and year under advanced search.

Humiodity, rust and pesky tabs. After all of my years, i have finally learned—thank you CTT.

I had a hard time getting back to this page after I logged in. It would be nice if I could see this without the password and stuff.

The renewal popup is a real nuisance particularly when renewal is not due for over a year…
