Photo album

Hey guys, I finally got around to doing a photo album. If you’re interested take a look and let me know if it needs any “tweaking”. I’m open to ideas in regard to layout and theme. I know there are a couple of dupes on it but it’s getting late. The link is under my sig line. Have a great week!

That’s some mouthwatering photographty and modeling, my friend. Hats off! Is that beautiful bridge a Walthers kit? And welcome to Picture Trail, I like the way they allow you to set things up. If you’ve got Basic right now, for another $19.95, you can have unlimited album opportunity (basic allows you up to post up to 50 photos). How about a couple of ‘big’ shots showing your entire setup? I’d be interested in the track-plan. But GREAT work! Thanks for posting it.

Oh, PS: I hope I don’t sound like one of those awful rivet counters, but if you ever decide to tinker with your IHC 1100 series 2-8-0–they had the headlight mounted on the top of the boiler front, not the center. Just a thought, LOL!

[#ditto] Really outstanding work! Keep it up, and keep posting those pics!

Nice work! I love the realism and the angle of the photo!

It is but I was to cheap to spring for the bridge track and just added gaurd rails to a piece of flex track.[:I] The tie spacing is standard.

I’ll see what I can do. It’s a small layout. When completed (staging finished) the total trackage will only be roughly 3.5 scale miles

Coming from a steam pro like yourself I’ll take that as gospel. I’d like to get some upgraded steam down the road.

Tom, thanks for the nice comments and suggestions. I hope to continue seeing new pics of your RR. It’s been an inspiration!

Great Shots Grande Man. I must say, I have been happy with Picture trail as well.

Kevin and Ray, thanks for the comments. You guys have some fantastic pics up on your respective sites. Very nice work!!!

looks like some railfan has been very busy on your railroad . i’ll bet he was trespassing to get a couple of those shots , he better watch it or the Rio Grande police will issue him a ticket !

no kidding , my wife got one once from the CN police for walking along the tracks

Love the pics!!! I’m a DRGW fan myself!!!

Thanks guys. I have some work to do on the railroad description/title page. Will add more pics as scenes become more detailed.

I’ll keep an eye out for the D&RGW police!

Great Stuff Grande Man, keep em rollin in

Great stuff everyone
really impressive

Personally, im just happy to know about this free hosting site
Maybe ill put some pics in there

By the way-3.5 scale miles?
Thats more than I could dream of!

WOW check out the track work on the siding in the picture “Southbound Empty”. It is just like the siding at the grain elevator west of town here. I don’t ever remember seeing a more well defined change from main line to siding on a modle layout. Mine just look like a short piece of mainline. Great work.

Great shots, nice mix of motive power.[tup] I’ve always loved the simple elegance of DRGW black-and-orange.

Thanks all for the kind comments. I think I’m having as much fun with the camera as we do running trains! The web is such a great resource for folks to see layouts they’d never see otherwise. I know I enjoy model railroad pics online very much and am glad to hear folks are enjoying ours.

The Platte Canyon Sub will see future details added (like aspens!!!) and much new power and rolling stock is planned. My next priority is to come up with some extra $$$ to complete the staging yards. I’d also love to upgrade our old DCC system and signal the railroad.

I have edited the intro page and added a makeshift system map. I expect more changes will be added as time goes on.

Thanks for looking guys!!!
