I figured it out. Someone had captured something in my Firefox browser. Must have been some kind of malware. I always clear all history when I close the browser. I found out that Firefox by default leaves 12 items in the History file. I modified the browser to zero History items and the problem is gone.

Just offering this as a suggestion to take or leave…you may have things fully covered and have fixed your problem entirely…try the freeware superantispyware. Unless it will cause you more problems because of conflicts, I have used it to good effect.

Have you considered Picasa?
I haven’t seen spyware with Photobucket, but with all the crap flash animation and pop ups it has now it’s WAY too slow anymore.

PB has slowed down a lot since Yahoo started loading it down with a bunch of crap none of us needs plus a bazillion ads.
