Photo titled Desert Skyscraper is misleading

Bellmont, AZ is not in the desert but instead is in the largest Ponderosa Pine forest in the forty eight states. Located about ten miles west from Flagstaff and at over 7000 ft above sea level it is in that part of Arizona which contrasts Arizona’s desert areas.

I’m guessing this is regarding the latest issue of Trains Magazine? I haven’t received my copy yet, so…

Ditto. DC must have an “in” with Kalmbach or the Post Office; he’s not that much closer to Wisconsin. [:D]

Michael, thanks for the info. Nice photo no matter what you call it. Interesting how many of the old Santa Fe water towers are still in existence compared to some other railroads.
