Alrighty everybody, here’s one complete with a GP60B! (Been awhile since I’ve caught one of them). Off you go:

Alrighty everybody, here’s one complete with a GP60B! (Been awhile since I’ve caught one of them). Off you go:

Western Nebraska somewhere?
Not NE.
How about south of Peublo?
How about southwestern Wisconsin? That terrain looks familiar…
Green River Wyoming?? No wait…
The landscape reminds me of Wyoming, but I really can’t place it. Laramie? Islay?
Southeast corner of Wyoming for starters?
No south of Pueblo. Not WY. Not Wisconsin.
Its an Alstrom Canada Leasing unit.
A BNSF B unit with a Cab Unit.
A search of rail images indicated BNSF 6829 has been well traveled around the USA while several different Alstroms ranged from the Carolines into Canada. That makes everything between Ohio/Toronto and LaCrosse on down to Kansas City a potential area of this picture.
I recall several spots around Kansas City that had these short steep hills. So my final guess will be just North and East of Kansas City.
Okay, if it isn’t Wyoming, I’m going to guess that the city in the background is Castle Rock, and the train isn’t that far past Dickerhoof Curve.
Some place way, way too cold…[:D]
Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding! While the train hasn’t actually made it through Dickerhoof Curve yet, it will be going through there in just a few miles. Dickerhoof is actually south of Castle Rock. The city in the background is actually part of the northern sprawl of the town (around the Meadows Pkwy / Founders Pkwy exit on I-25).
Very well done!
Ed, the next couple days have a good outlook of some more of the white stuff, courtesy of Willy and his Wacky Weather Machine. You sure you don’t want me to box some up and send it your way? [swg]
What state?
Ooooops…sorry. I guess I should have divulged that. It’s right here in CO on the Joint Line, about halfway between Denver and the Springs, give or take a bit.
So, it was NORTH of Pueblo. Dang compass was upside down.

He he he…I hate it when that happens!
Even though I didn’t spell it out, I was thinking about the joint line.
