Found this on Imgur, thought it was kinda funny.
That is the first crossbuck i’ve ever seen that says " Railway Crossing" instead of " Railroad Crossing". I don’t recognize the paint scheme on the locomotive. It looks like a GE product of some sort. I guess this is a short line or regional somewhere?
Kiwi Rail is the largest rail operator in New Zealand.
7295 is a DFT class locomotive, originally built by GMD, (EMD GL22MC) and has a 12-645E3C prime mover.
Hope this helps…

“Railway Crossing” is the standard wording on crossbucks in various Commonwealth countries, including Canada (except in Quebec).
I failed to make the connection, I geuss. I didn’t think about the Kiwi bird being native to New Zealand. The scene looked like it was in the rural eastern US. Thanks for setting me straight.

The Kiwi FRUIT is native to New Zealand.
Evidently in Canada it’s just the crossbuck shape, outlined in red, but with no lettering at all ! (similar to those in some other countries as well) See:
