I have been using Photobucket as my photo image Host for years. After choosing the photo I desired to Post on a Trains.com thread, I clicked on the photo and then clicked on the IMG option below. The word “Copied” always appeared. Now, the option is “IMG Code”, followed by a faint IMG (in brackets) hhtp:// etc. The “etc”.includes my name and the Title of the image. When you click on the image it gets a blue frame around it and the faint IMG Etc. gets a hyperlink blue background, and the word “Copied” no longer appears. When I went to my Trains.com thread 'Reply", I clicked on ctrlV and the lengthy code appeared,(as usual), after the text. Then, clicking on Post, the picture appeared, along with the (editable) text, (as usual). Is this a new Photobucket Hosting format? Bob hahn
I just went into my Photobucket account, clicked on the IMG code, got the “copied” popup, pasted it here and it worked the same for me.
I haven’t had any issues with that either. Works for me.

This may just be the new approach for the host. I’m assuming that depending on your OS–mine being Vista Premium – that it was my OS. When I right click my image the options come down and I right click the IMG file which then goes blue and then when I right click within the post field the IMG shows up there… I’m still figuring certain things out here but, oh well…
I too experienced the same thing, now I have to highlight the entire url and Ctrl V. I just assumed Photobucket changed something and for whatever reason it’s not available to me anymore.
Appears to be working as usual for me. All I have to do is roll the curser over the photo, the pull down menu appears, left click on the IMG one and it says copied. I am using Firefox 2.0 on a Mac G5 running OS 10.3.9. Have you recently had a “fix” type upgrade to you browser? It might be some kind of quirk from that.???
I guess they are trying to hide the ‘code’ that goes with it or something.
And I guess that makes me the dummy because I always post images here by just typing [ img ][ /img ] I never use the “post image” or “post link” popups

If you right click on your picture, you will get other options than if you left click on the IMG code that is in a small window that appears under your actual picture. When you left click on the IMG code, it should briefly show you the “copied” message. Your way works too, it just goes to show that there is more than one way to skin a cat. In the end, as long as you’re able to post your picture, that’s all that matters.
BTW, in case it is an OS thing, when I wrote the “how to post a picture tutorial”, I should have mentioned that I’m running Windows XP SP2. On my other computer, which is a very old and outdated laptop, I run Windows ME, and the process I outlined in my tutorial works the same on that computer as well.
