It looks like it will be fun to operate…but a little off topic question for you. Is the pin up art by Vargas? It reminds me of his Esquire work but I don’t recognize any of the particular pictures. Which is odd because I have a lot of his work 
(They don’t seem to be colorful enough to b Elvgreen or Petty)

That round thing is leftover piano wire that I used on my throws. The Vargas are from the War Years 1941-1945.

what I would do (i did it) is put a pile of ballast at the end of the spur it looks a lot cooler and is effective just put glue on the stopper and pour the ballast on top of it it looks really neat! good luck!
Looks like the throws are from Caboose Ind. I did my first Caboose throw a few weeks ago and I was able to connect it directly to the TO.
Why did you need to use piano wire ?
How are they connected ?

The piano wire went from the throw, under the track, to the center hole in the switch.
