Photo's of the recently Rebuilt Queensland Railways C17 #974 steam locomotive

G’day all, Today was the monthly Steam train sunday tour, with the recently rebuilt C17 steam locomotive #974. I believe this is now QR’s 5th Steam locomotive in operation.

Here it is about to depart Roma St Train station, the origin of the journey.

Charging by at 70km/h on the first run to Pinkenba.

Heading back to Roma Street.

Here it is passing us by on a footbridge at 55km/h.

Express through a suburban train station at approximately 50km/h.

I hope you enjoyed the pics,

Jim

I very nice looking locomotive and train. By the way, what about freight trains in Brisbane? I have some relatives living in Melbourne and said me there we see only passenger trains.

Pedro

I definitely enjoyed the pictures. [tup] Please post more when you can! [4:-)]

G’dye, eh! Some smart looking locomotive, what a treat to have this choo-chooing around your countryside, great job on those coaches too. How do you keep the train on the track when you are upside down???

Where is the salute to the Croc hunter? The pix were terrific BTW

The pix are terrific but where is the salute to the Croc Hunter?
