Photos of your work bench

Hello all,

Please show photos of your work bench , where the model magic begins. I’ll have to take pictures of mine tomorrow, jack russel terrier {Rowdy} freaks out over the camera flash.
My work bench is compressed into a very smal space. I’m thinking of adding another work bench to mine. Hell I’ll proably have to buy the wife a new diamond ring to be able to do that.

P.S I’ll post pictures of mine tomorrow

Work Bench ? you mean under that pile of tools and stuff there is a work bench ? ? I’ve often wondered what was at the bottom. What’s this about diamond rings?–sounds pretty scary.

I know that there is some kind of flat surface holding up all that stuff or it would be on the floor. Well at least it’s all within arms reach.
Acually, it’s not that bad, just organized layers of past projects waiting for parts or the time to fini***hem. I use some lab tables left over from one of the refurbished reseach labs. I had a dozen or so tables and asked around for takers. Only gave away a few at first. Once the word got around and people saw them, The rest evaporated. At least my club got a few. Very nice work tables.

I have an oversize machinists table I use mostly for tool storage and project staging. It is great if you like to stand and work on things. I use a narrow homemade folding table to do my assembly work, that way I can put it away.

My plan is to use a folding table that we have. Whenever my wife is not sewing, I get to use it for my ‘projects’. So I will have to empty it after each use, sooooo It would just be a picture of a folding table.

my idea is to put my work bench in the closet in my train room its deep its have tons of shelving on the rights and leftg and plenty of room for a table and things. I have My computer software ect. in the closet in my bedroom and ti works great there so i expect the smae with my work area

You know I just started planning to build a work bench. I am going to get some nice wood from my father-in laws hopefully cherry… I think next too the layout the workbench is just as important for space and orgnization… Joseph

It’s just your average 3’x7’ work bench…

… with a bench vise at one end… and lots of light

My bench is in the garage.I share it with my grandpa, who had a friend build it back in the 1970’s. It weighs about 400-500 pounds, and has former bowling alley flooring as the top. If I have tokeep one thing as an heirloom for my for future generations of my family, it’ll be the Bench[^].
It’s 8 foot top is covered with the following:

Several dissasembled athearn locomotives
A 1:10th scale tamiya RC benz
a huge vice
various boxes of junk
at least two junked walthers locomotives
a short HO test track
possibly a beer can or two (my dad’s)…

I’ll edit this post with a pic tomorrow, when it is light in the garage[:)]

Well, I just started construction on my benchwork. But if you want to see the progress of my layout and check out the photos too click the link below to my layout website. I just spent 9 hours in the train room today, but photos will not be added until late this week. The CFO took the digital camera on a school trip to DC with our son.

OK, I have an old door in my workroom that I use exclusively for the structures
that I am building.

this last picture is just a cool one I came across last night on the weatherers forum!

This was in Nov 05. It is a whole lot more cluttered now but that test track on the left is gone as of last week

and replaced with the beginnings of a crew lounge

Here’s and oldie from me too, just happened to have it in my Photobucket album:

I’ve got two workbenches back to back and still only have about a 1’x1’ work space. Bruce

This is my mess

The next time I clean if off and learn how to post pictires, Ill show you. I have a solid table top on two wooden horses (the plastic kind from Lowe’s).

I’m not sure about posting photos, but here goes.

My train room is on the other side of the wall. I made the workbench out of leftover Sievers benchwork. I have quite a bit of storage for small things underneath. As you can tell from the pegboard, my tools are usually in the layout room somewhere.[:D]

heres mine

Here is my humble work spot in the basement

Ok no way I am going to just show a folding table after those pics. Sheesh. You guys have some good spaces there, congrats/ [:)]
