picked up david doyle's postwar guide...

Took a trip to boarders book store and wanted to grab a greenberg guide but they only had Postwar Lionel Trains: 1945-1969 by David Doyle. Im glad I got it. Lots of pictures and easy to find items. Also, on a lot of items they worte a small passage on the variations.

Also noticed the postwar prices are way down from 5 years ago (last time I got a price guide). Well, when the market’s low… BUY BUY BUY!

I have it too. If you do a search on the topic, several folks have pointed out some errors regarding specific models. While much of the information is usefull, you should use some caution in determining values of specific items, or determining authenticity. Anyway, it does have a lot of great photos and discriptions.
