The new Tier 2 Locomotives have some exterior spotting features to differentiate them from the current SD70M’s and SD70MACS. One major spotting feature is the adoption of the SD80/90MAC style radiators which do not run to the end of the long hood. The current SD70M’s have the older SD45 style flared radiator.
