I had the good fortune today of meeting Harold Collier, who gave me the grand tour of his NX-23 caboose (formerly Western Allegheny #406). I don’t think there are many of these converted boxcar cabins left around, and I’m glad to know that one from the W.A. still exists around here. Here are a few “prototype” pics.
Also, it’s really cool that the gentleman who owns it is building his HO layout inside it. Put to good use!!! [:D]
The first pic is the cabin car in service in, I think, 1957. The others are from today.
