hi guys,
The show was a success this year, there were 10 layouts ranging from Z scale to G scale. here’s some pictures of the event…chuck

Ho layout

This is the Ft. Bend County MRR club’s N scale layout. …this is an award winning prototype model of the Imperial Sugar Plant along Hwy 90 Alt. in Sugarland Texas…this is modeling at it’s finest…

Looks like you had a great turnout!! Thanks for sharing the pics!

it was a good one too…I picked up a new bb athearn sd-9 in SP black widow for $20.00

cwclark, must have missed you.

Couple of my pickups. A 40’ box and some cars.

The coup de grace for me was finding Missouri-Texas-Kansas Lines In Color by Raymond B George. This was the one item on my list that I was hoping I could find since I was in Katy country!

The day before, here in Cedar Park, I picked this up, so, I couln’t really justify more locos.

Tom, i was looking for you, but there was no one there with a SH hat on…i was there early…I thought about you when i pulled out an athearn bb box car that was done in KATY…at one of the booths…I found three KATY cars in the piles and piles of boxes there…my wife bought me a bunch of containers, and i picked up a GP-9 and a few other cars and the tool lady didn’t have much of a selection but did manage to get a couple of new pin vises and a pair of tweezers from her…everything was nice except the lady that was weathering cars with make-up…she was one of those feminist…all i said to her was that i like to weather with an air brush and chalks and she went into this thing about women hating men and her technique was better than mine…yak, yak, yak…even though her stuff sorta looked like a crappy weathering job…oh well different strokes for different folks…sometimes i wonder why some people are so standoffish…chuck

I don’t mind having my cars all dolled up in make up. That way they look good when i take them out on a date all the other guys are jeolous. [(-D][:o)]

I also thought the make up weathering was way too heavy …always liked them rolling stock gals a little on the trashy side!..[;)] chuck
