The two stall enginehouse looks like it’s off to a great start. I had one like it on my last HO layout. I for one would like to see more pics of it when you get it finished.

Is that a Toronado or an Eldorado behind metro station?

Nice. I am working toward modeling the Chessie. I have one CSX car and may add one early CSX loco. I also have some old stuff in the blue with gold letters B & O and C & O. I am still running them around a test track, and clearing out the portion of my garage the train room with be built in. I look forward to starting so I can post progress pics. Great job.

One can talk about thier layout in thousands of words, but pictures make it all come to life. It looks really neat! Keep it up!

Where is your layout located in your house? I was looking at the St. Francis Assisi church and noticed those fantastic 2nd story windows. Is that an A frame you live in? It looks very cool. I like the CSX boxcar. I’ve got one too.

What brand of CSX loco is that?

Good shots and looks like a fun layout to run on.

Keep up the good work!

Great start on you empire! [:)]

Did you build those yourself, or buy as built ups? I currently have a couple of those little red houses that my Mom, Dad and I built in the early '60’s for my layout. They sure are cute!

One thing I will suggest is to paint your structures. You need something to take the “plastic shine” away from the buildings. The easiest way would be to use a flat clear coat finish. Testors “Dullcoat” works good for a flat finish. Remove any clear “glass” before you spray Dullcoat. It may haze the window “glass”.

An easy alternative is spray can primers. There are a lot of spray can primers out there from different manufacters, and they are all different shades.

I hope these tips help, and look forward to seeing the engine house finished!

Rotor

And an inside view!

luvadj no tornado, but hopefully you like the shedhouse pictures[:D]

Driline My layout (4x10) comes out several times a year and sits on my dining room table. I actually live in a one-story house but I got the picture by shooting upwards.

Loathar The locomotive is an Athearn Genesis SD-70M -SD75M. It says Spirit of Tampa on the Cab.

Rotor The fire-house is a built up, The Metro Station and shed I built, but everything else my neighbor gave to me after she found them in her attic (she still has more boxes still up there that she hasn’t gotten down)

Did that Athearn come with the plow, MU plugs and ditch lights? Or did you add those?
I haven’t seen any newer Athearns in person. Looks better than my old BB’s.

They came standard

Get a new camera. I do really like your layout![:D]

That’s the same enginehouse I remember…she’s sweet Mr. 675 [8D]

I’d take Rotor’s advice on killing the shine on it…other than that, she’s lookin’ good to go.

Thanks [angel]
