I wanted to share with everyone that I’m almost done with my bench work. I had to call it a night and come up stairs, but tomorrow is another day off for me and with only four sections to go it will be completed. Everything is in the garage waiting for its new home. I also got my first engine, A really nice NS SD-9, and its having a lot of fun going back and forth on a 9 foot little temp. section. I can’t wait to finally start laying down track[:D]
Good job…I mean of letting go long enough to go to bed. You’re way ahead of me in that regard. I couldn’t sleep when I was at your point, anyway!
Oh it was tough, I probably won’t sleep well tonight and first thing in the morning its right back downstairs…maybe I could just sleep under the tables tonight [?]
I do the same thing,up the stairs start to go to bed and then back down the stairs again, sometimes I have to force myself to go to sleep! Good luck tomorrow.

From the boards on the walls to the carpet, this basement has been completely overhauled…this has been about a month worth of work so far
Great job! Love the pics. Please don’t take this as criticism, but do you have a way to access that circuit breaker box? It would be terrible to someday in the future having to mess up a part of your layout in order to get to the thing.

We do indeed. There is an access hole that will be right there and we can reach acrossed to get at it. That portion of the layout will be flat enough as to not interfere with getting to it.[:D]

I like your thinking I am using the same brackets on my layout boy they make things easy and nice and strong.
Ran into those things at home depot and haven’t looked back…they work GREAT!!! I would recommend them to anyone.
I’d just like to add that your benchwork looks like deck framework !! Your not taking any chances on it sagging are you ?

gee…i hate to tell you this but you got a really long way to go…but that’s ok…what’s up so far looks good… i’ve been working on my layout for almost 2 years now and it’s still the plywood central…one of these days!..chuck[:D]
