Pics

Will someone tell how to attach pics to this? Im either blind or there is no attachment icon.

If you’re using Photobucket, just use the IMG (Image) link and paste it in your text.

Was wanting to attach a photo off of my hard drive to a post earlier and couldnt find how to attach it…

Gidday Daff, for various reasons we have to go through a third party…

Here,s a how to link, there may be easier ways but I found superbe Bobs worked for me.[*-)]

Cheers, the Bear.

If you decide to use Photobucket, you will need to create a free account, then upload any desired photos to your “library” there. When you then go to a library photo, it will show a list on the right of “links”. Use the “IMG” link. It’s easiest to have the MR forum you’re posting on one browser tab and Photobucket on a 2nd one that’s open. When you click on the Photobucket IMG link, it will indicate “copied” which means it is in your browser clipboard (or whatever it’s called), remembering it. Then as noted above go to the MR posting you’re creating and paste it in. It will show the text for the web address, but when you post the posting or reply it will show a clickable link. When your posting shows, it will show the photo itself, and if folks click on the photo, it will go to Photobucket and show it larger.

I used another photo sharing site earlier but it developed a problem so I switched to PB which many here seem to use.

Since I made the post Bear is refering to (thanks Bear) there have been two changes in adding a picture so you can see it before you post.

On Photobucket you will see a gear on your picture. Click on the gear to get links. Select the direct link and then go to your forum post and look for a picture frame. Click on it and paste the direct link and than submit. Your picture should appear. The icon that looks like film is for posting videos. That is the change.

Hope this isn’t confusing, but I prefer to see my pictures before posting.
