As I posted last night I started getting into building my Kaslo shop SDL39 and said I would get pics this weekend well i decided to do it early. I’m waiting for some pieces I had to order cause I lost them somewhere when Installing them (insert laughter here). I also decided to do a grayscale photo of a locomotive and show the display that walthers had for their Milwaukee Depot at trainfest. Enjoy!!!

Good thing I didn’t buy that station. It guess I didn’t comprehend how big it was. If I had a basement filling layout I’d buy that in a second.

Its a big station I want it but as a background building on the top layer nothing would go in or out of it but still to have such a beautiful structure that resembles an era gone by would be great. PLus being from the Area it would be nice to have it on my layout but 300.00 wow.

Nice. I’ve been watching a guy build and paint one in WC on another his site. Pretty unique loco. Wish I had the money and the time. Plus the skills to make one. [banghead]

I didnt think I had the skill either and it isnt bad as you would think. Money is true its up there in price but sure beats kitbashing a train.

I was thinking about getting one. But the price scared me away. But I guess it’s worth it as you get a one-of-a-kind locomotive.

The SDL39 is one neat engine. This is one time I wish I had pre-ordered a engine but the price seemed a little steep to me but after seeing the product it might be worth it for a unique engine like this. I hope they make more and maybe get the bugs worked out of the drivetrain.

I have been running the engine without the shell for two days testing on various switches and track and so far no big problems there I have to sand down a section of a stree that goes over the inside of the rails it hits on it but nothing bad. As for anything else I havent had a problem with gears, or anything drivetrain related. I have to admit I’m addicted to the sound decoder Cant stop playing with the function 8 button.
