Ok, i read ,and read, i tried to post some pics in the layout section, previewed my post everything seems ok, works great then i post it and you dont see the pics? plus the system or something adds things to my pic post [IMG]src… SRC what? I am totally lost … can anyone help me ? thanks C.C.

I had the same problems a while ago. Are you using a Mac with Safari? I had to change to using Firefox before my pictures would post correcty. If that’s not your problem, I’m afraid I can’t be of any more help.

I really appreciate your reply… i am using windows, and have my pics in photobucket. Dont understand it like i said if i post then the pics dont come out but ,when i preview my post before actually posting it everything is great, pic’s pop right out no problem? Thanks again C.c

if your image tag looks like this < img src = “http://www.somesite.com”> < /img> it’s using HTML code, not the BB Code that this forum likes.

to fix it - in any (Windows) Browser:

-Right click the picture, and choose “Properties” from the drop-down menu.

  • In the properties pane, there will be one of two things
  1. IE has a line labelled “Address(URL)” (it might actually be a number of lines if the addres is long)
  2. Firefox has a line labelled “Location”
  • Make sure you get the entire thing, the address/location will be something like http://www.somesite.com/somedirectory (might be some levels deep)/yourpicture.gif (or jpg, bmp, whatever)

copy THAT address in between the [ img][ /img] tags that we use here, and you should be set.

note that you wil need a site to upload these pictures to - railimages, photobucket, etc.

For a mac - I don’t know how to right click (maybe its command-click…)

What internet browser are you using? Several people here have experienced problems with IE7.0. If you’re using Internet Explorer 6.0, when you view your album on Photobucket, there will be 3 lines of code below the pictures in your Photobucket album. Click on the bottom link that is titled IMG. When the text is blue, right click and select ‘Copy’. When you are typing your post here, either right click and select ‘Paste’ or use ‘Control-V’ to paste the link to your photo. When you post your thread or reply, your photo will show up like this:

hmm so thats why no matter what i do i cant get them to post oh well i like firefox better anyway

Thanks alot Neo, I have tried that ( had to delete 25) practice tried in the test zone. preview it and it looks great,but post it and ??? thanks for your input CC.

Hey Don, i am using whatever the newest internet explore is( wife downloaded it last week) I have my pic at the photobucket. i try and paste my pics nothing, copy and paste the

Talon, that’s your problem…click on “Help” in your browser window, then click on “About Internet Explorer”…your wife probably downloaded version 7.0. It has given plenty of people fits here when they try to post pictures. See if you can back out to Version 6.0 and you’ll have no problems.

I think other users have had trouble using IE 7 which is probably what you have?? I myself use Crazy Browser and have never had any problems. Search for free web browser and it’s the seventh result down if you want to try it.

IE7 is junk though…

Go here and download Mozilla Firefox. It’ll save you a lot of headaches (not to mention it has really good popup/spyware blockers that come standard… and it isnt as full of security holes as IE)

Ok Neo, i’ll try that. Downloaded crazy browser and that didnt work either? probably junk IE7 Ps. By the way what i was trying to get out was that is the pic of my layout when it was in the garage, now it is different and in a room in the house. I used part or that layout and integrated it into the new one was what i was originally going to post/ LOL Thanks again Cc .
