Terry,
That’s a nice, visually engaging shot. Thanks for sharing!
I agree !Very nice…
Yes, I agree that it is a very nice image. Well done!
…That is a neat photograph Terry.
Thanks everyone.
The worst flood at Harpers Ferry was 1936. The picture of the Loram Ditch Cleaner was taken on a bridge that was built in 1931, so this bridge survived the BIG one.
This picture shows the stone piers from two bridges that did NOT survive the 1936 flood.

…1936 was a terrible year for floods in that general part of the country. Johnstown, Pa. was again inundated with a devestating flood from the freak conditions set up by the Spring melting, etc…
PS: Another great photo.
This is a great shot as well, what are the buildings Amtrak is passing? Boy they sure did an alignmet job with the other track !
Well done photos. As do the others, let me extend my thanks and congratulations.
We’re no strangers to floods out here, and I wouldn’t want to be on that bridge.

I always thought the white building was the Salty Dog Saloon. This link tells different, go half way down the page…
