Pictures of the SW1500-SW1500-GP9 MU --Sort of

I know I promised but the best laid plans…

I had the shot lined up and when I heard the horn I ran out with my camera. Someone parked a semi in the way. So what you get is…

There’s a railroad where I live has the same paint scheme has your SW, but has T&P
(Tazwell & Peoria),instead of B&P.

On the Geep, if you look closely at the BP you can see some lettering coming through.

Am I seeing a Conrail that was run through a blue paint car wash rails and all then stenciled with BP and a road number?

That is the standard paint scheme for Genesee & Wyoming owned railroads.

Chip, that should have been an excuse to close early and go on a chase!

Dern Truckers!

There’s supposed to be a coal drag coming through as a test run today before the opening ride by the Govenor on Monday. I’ll try to get a shot again today.

Huron Central has the same paint scheme as well. I like the looks of it.

isn’t that a NW on that geep/

An interesting lash-up, isn’t it amazing how trucks always get in the way?

Could be. Actually there are so many Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railfans out here that the history of the engines is pretty well known. I probably can find out where it came from. (but my “favorites” links are at home.)

Chip - where was the picture taken? There haven’t been trains in Indiana since I was a small child.
