Well with my brother and his wife coming over last week i didnt get anything I wanted done, well … done. Well Monday I go tmy Atlas F150 cabs (thanks atlas) and then i got my replacement parts for my SDL39. I also finished gluing up my first Control panel. I also painted my Atlas 150’s. Pictures included. As always compliments or suggestions welcomed.

(Above: I just wanted a different color truck on th elayout so I painted it Boyed Purple from a model car project I did awhile back)


(Above: I decided to make a dull grey truck I used normal primer with Matte clear coat. I think it looks good)


(Above: My forst attempt at making my control panels. There will be various ones spread through the layout centering on just the turn outs. I dont have the Subminature DPDT switches installed but you get the idea. The Idea actually came from ana rticle in MR maybe 2 yrs ago?)

Good work! those trucks look good, though i would imagine that if they’re out and about for your RR, they would be pretty dirty. Nice control panel. I like how every thing is labeled![tup]

Thank You for the nice words. I will dirty the trucks up after I get the decals pritned up and put on.

I labeled everything for two reasons

  1. I couldnt make up my mind on anything for names of Business’s so now set in stone well paper.

  2. I sort of like it labeled, it helps my dad and when the family friend comes over he then con run the trains and head to the right place.
